We've known for months that Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks are really feeling each other and they've taken every opportunity to praise each other interviews. Jason even shared how Jordin cared while he was recovered from a major neck injury. [Click here to read about that]
Jason is now opening up and revealing how Jordin saved him from depression and helped him focus on getting better. Keep reading for details
Jason spoke with Fox News after performing his new single, Undefeated, on American Idol last night:
On his comeback performance after months of bed rest:
“I am two weeks removed [from the neck brace] and tonight’s performance was invigorating. It was like a second chance at life, I had a great time up there. This experience was crazy because I could literally not be standing here right now. I could really be in a wheelchair or not be here at all in the situation. [The accident] taught me to love life and live everyday like it’s your last.”
On Jordin's ability to keep him in good spirits:
“Just her being there when she could have been anywhere else in the world was an impact for me," he said. “I guess the best way to put it is that she was the backbone to the situation, a lot of people get really low into crazy depression and stuff like that but when you have someone it makes everything so much better.”
On their goofy American Idol bet:
“If I was voting tonight I would vote for Jessica, I am team Jessica. Jordan is actually team Philip.
Jason reveals that they have placed bets on the winner and he will have to cook for Jordin if he loses. “I can’t even cook a hot dog,” he says. Jordin will have to do something equally unpleasant for her - give Jason a 10 minute foot massage. “She hates feet," he explains.
After Jason's 'Idol' performance, Jordin tweeted this pic saying, "SO. PROUD. OF. @JASONDERULO. MY. HEART. WILL. BURST."
